North West Nursing Home Fined
A Wirral nursing home has been fined thousands of pounds after failing to protect its elderly residents from a risk of Legionella bacteria building up in their water systems by ignoring an improvement notice issued by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Although Legionella was not present in the building they were fined due to the fact that they failed to assess and control the risk.
